CDRG is an interdisciplinary
health services research
group staffed by clinicians,
epidemiologists, biostatisticians, and information
systems experts.
We evaluate quality of care and identify trends
in anemia, diabetes, dementia, cardiovascular
disease, chronic kidney disease, and end-stage
renal disease through observational research into
these and other chronic
conditions. Our work is relevant in the contexts
of health policy, clinical applications, and strategic
planning.
Our expertise rests on our experience managing
large administrative, claims, pharmaceutical,
and disease-specific data sets, including the
Medicare 5% sample, the Medicare 100% ESRD data,
and MedStat, Framingham, and NHANES data. We
build flexible and expandable databases that
allow us
to develop innovative analytical approaches and
carry out long-range observational studies.
We
have the infrastructure in place to secure our
data and to assure patient
privacy protection
and HIPAA compliance.
We maintain advanced computer
systems capable of accepting and managing
large quantities of data, allowing sophisticated
analyses, and providing for efficient and secure
information sharing and distribution.
