Our Mission

The  Chronic Disease Research Group (CDRG), a division of the Hennepin Healthcare Research Institute (formerly known as the Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation), is an interdisciplinary research group whose work focuses on answering questions related to the experiences of patients with chronic diseases. In collaboration with our sponsors, we work toward a better tomorrow for chronic disease patients by bringing awareness to issues and treatment concerns that affect decisions about patient care and improve clinical outcomes. As a nonprofit organization, our strength rests on the integrity of our research practices and our commitment to patient health and well-being.

Our Values

We are a team that values producing and presenting results that are free from errors and minimizing bias through advanced statistical and epidemiologic designs and methodologies.

We are a team that values innovative thinking and seeks new problems to solve, new ways to solve them, and new ways to communicate actionable results.

We are a team that values clear communication of complex statistical ideas to our community and our clients in a way that is engaging and readily understood.

We are a team that values partnership with our community and our clients. We exist to walk beside our partners, striving to solve critical issues together.

We are a team that continuously strives to conduct our analyses and interactions with the broader community in a manner that upholds the values of honesty, transparency, and responsibility
